Laboratory for Retinal Neuroplasticity
Our goal is to understand the ability of injured retinal neurons to recover their normal function and connectivity, in order to develop therapies to prevent or restore loss of neural function in glaucoma and optic neuropathies. Projects are conducted in both human patients and experimental models using non-invasive electrophysiological, imaging, and genetic approaches that allow bench-to-bedside translation of research findings.
