Glaucoma at the Angle: Where Innovations in Glaucoma Surgery Meet - Objectives

Upon completion of this program, participants should be able to:

• Evaluate medical evidence methodically by an increased familiarity with recent notable publications

• Evaluate the pros and cons of trabeculectomy as primary glaucoma procedure, and analyze the risks and benefits of mini-filter device in filtering procedures

• Define the theoretical and practical approaches to pediatric glaucoma; and analyze recent clinical trials regarding pediatric glaucoma

• Appraise when and how to perform various techniques for angle based surgery for glaucoma

• Incorporate new intraoperative devices to assist in angle surgery

• Evaluate techniques for placing aqueous humor shunt with long tunnel technique without use of scleral patch graft
