This is a one-year comprehensive training program in the diagnosis and medical and surgical management of uveitis under the direction of Drs. Janet Davis, Thomas Albini, and/or Victor Perez. Fellows work closely with the faculty in the clinics to develop expertise in the diagnosis and management of infectious and non-infectious uveitis, using a broad range of therapeutic immunosuppression, intravitreal and periocular treatments, and modern diagnostic techniques, including state-of-the-art anterior and posterior segment imaging. In the operating room, the Uveitis Service provides drug delivery device placement, cataract, and posterior segment surgery related to complications and diagnosis of uveitis. Academically, the fellow participates in teaching conferences and is actively encouraged to participate in clinical or basic research. Fellows with prior or planned fellowship training in anterior or posterior segment surgery are preferred, but non-surgical medical uveitis trainees are also invited to apply. Salary and benefits will be commensurate with the other fellowships offered through the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute. The program is compliant with the AUPO FCC guidelines for Uveitis Fellowships.
You should be aware that we participate in a matching program. Information and applications relating to the Fellowship Matching Program can be obtained from SF Match.
