Academic Title

  • Research Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology

Research Interests

Mechanism of glaucomatous damage; ocular hemodynamics; retinal ganglion cells, retinal blood flow, mathematical models for the evaluation of disease progression, economical aspects of ocular diseases.

Research Summary

Dr. Sehi’s research is focused on the detection of the earliest signs of damage to retinal nerve cells and their axons in glaucoma and retinal diseases in order to intervene before the nerve cells die. She uses advanced ocular imaging, electrophysiological techniques, and mathematical modeling to evaluate the impact of damage on the structure and function of the visual system over time.
